Borjomi Local Museum is one of the oldest museums in Georgia, it was opened in 1926. The building in which the museum is located has a unique architecture and was built in 1890 by German engineer V. Swiss. Now there are 36000 exhibits in the museum fund, and some stationary expositions are opened: nature of nature, archeological, historical-ethnographic and applied art.
They feature prized collections of flora and fauna typical to the Borjomi Gorge, such as: stone tools of the primitive man, cultural monuments of the bronze age, weapons of war, decorative items and many more.
