Green Monastery (Chitakhevi St. George Monastery) is situated in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region in Borjomi valley. It is popularly known as Mtsvane Monastery, which means the Green Monastery. The monastery was abandoned for more than two hundred years. In 2003 it was reinstated to Christian use. Now it is a well known place of tourism and pilgrimage.
